Neela Sethi is a Pediatrician, Entrepreneur, Mother of two, and co-founder of Jaanuu Scrubs, which is the only physician-founded. Her special interests include childhood obesity, nutrition, and breastfeeding advocacy. She is also trained as a certified lactation educator. Dr. Neela loves touching the hearts and lives of others.
Neela Sethi attended the University of California at Los Angeles for her undergraduate training and graduated both Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a major in Psychobiology. She stayed a loyal Bruin and continued at UCLA Medical School, where she graduated with Honors. She completed her residency in Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Neela told Nurse Alice that she first decided to found her company, Jaanuu Scrubs because she saw a gap in how women were included in the healthcare sphere.
She founded the company with her brother, Sean Sethi and other inspiration for the company came from their mother, who moved to the U.S. from India.
The apparel company name ‘Jaanuu’ is the Hindu word for ‘Life’ and pays homage to Dr. Neela’s family as a first-generation Indian family.
Through her years as a Pediatrician, Dr. Neela has been regularly featured on TV as ABC Television’s and CBS Television’s medical correspondent.
